14 More Iona Preparatory Scholar-Athletes Commit to College Sports Teams, Bringing Total to 31

A total of 31 Iona Preparatory School scholar-athletes have committed to playing their chosen sport at the collegiate level next year, including 14 students who participated in a signing event at the Upper School on April 26. Collectively, this group of 31 scholar-athletes is the school’s largest total since 2015.

The signing event was headlined by basketball standout Bryce Wills, who officially signed with Stanford University, D-I. Continuing the tradition of the Iona Prep scholar-athlete, the Maroon & Gold will be sending students to schools such as MIT and Villanova, adding to a growing list of 2018 acceptances that include Brown, Cornell, NYU, UPenn and Yale.

Joined by parents, coaches and classmates, the following scholar-athletes announced their intentions to play for these college programs:

  • Caleb Donnelly, Scarsdale - Villanova (Club Crew)
  • Mike Eboli, Scarsdale - Manhattan College (D-1 Swimming)
  • Devin Grandison, Mount Vernon - Western New England University (D-III Wrestling)
  • Robert Greer, Buchanan - High Point University (D-I Track & Field)
  • Ryan Kingston, Pound Ridge - St. Joseph (Crew)
  • Brendan Martin, Stamford, Conn. - Ithaca College (D-III Football)
  • Mauro Pacsi, Yonkers - Iona College (D-I Swimming)
  • John Steele, Old Greenwich, Conn. - Massachusetts Institute of Technology (D-III Water Polo)
  • Bryce Wills, White Plains - Stanford University (D-I Basketball)
  • Tyler Dorsainvil, New Rochelle - Providence College (D-I Track & Field)
