SFC selling #QuinnfortheWin T-shirts to support 2001 alumnus with ALS

If you visit Iona Prep this Friday, you're apt to see a lot of maroon in place of the traditional blazer. That's because the Student-Faculty Council is selling special Iona Basketball #QuinnfortheWin T-shirts to stand in solidarity with their fellow Gael, Patrick Quinn US'01, of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge fame. The goal is to have a sea of maroon for Friday's triple-header against Christ the King.

The shirts are $10 apiece and can be purchased from the Gael House at the Upper School before school each morning, or during the lunch periods. Students will be permitted to wear those shirts over their button-downs and ties on Dec. 4 as a show of support. As an added incentive, every person who purchases a T-shirt will be automatically entered into a raffle to take a half-court shot at the varsity's 7:30 p.m. game.

So buy a shirt and come on out this Friday to watch our freshmen (4:30 p.m.), jayvee (6 p.m.) and varsity (7:30 p.m.) basketball teams take on Christ the King, all while getting behind one of our own, Pat Quinn, in the fight to fund a cure for ALS.
