Ty Jerome '16 Becomes First Iona Prep Player Drafted Into NBA The Class of 2016's Ty Jerome has broken a lot of records. As a junior, he helped bring Iona Preparatory basketball its first Class AA Archdiocesan title. This past April, as a junior at the University of Virginia, he became the first Gael to win a collegiate national title. And on June 20, he became the first alumnus selected in the NBA Draft, going in the first round, no less.
Upper School Celebrates Major Milestone With 100th Commencement Exercises

Valedictorian Matthew Hono, 18, of White Plains, and Brother Thomas R. Leto, President. Iona Preparatory Upper School celebrated its 100th Commencement Exercises on May 23 at Iona College, marking a major milestone in the history of the all-boys Pre-K-12 Catholic school located in New Rochelle. Raymond Bartoszek, a graduate of both Iona Preparatory Lower and Upper Schools, and who became the youngest limited partner of the New York Yankees in 2011, was the keynote speaker and winner of the Alumni Award.

Prep Players Presents 'Seussical the Musical' May 2, 4 & 5 “From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere!” This week you'll find the funny things on our very own Tully Gymnasium stage as the Iona Prep Players, in conjunction with our sisters from The Ursuline School, proudly presents "Seussical the Musical." Curtains rise on Thursday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m., and again on Saturday, May 4, at the same time. There will also be a matinee performance on Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m.

May 7 Spring Arts Night to Feature Student Artwork, Jazz & Rock Ensembles Ring in spring with our annual Spring Arts Night on Tuesday, May 7, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Tully Gymnasium. This perennial performance will feature student artwork from our upperclassmen under the tutelage of Mr. Matthew Horton '01, as well as musical selections from our Chamber Music Club, Jazz and Rock Ensembles, all under the direction of Mr. John Raimondo. Admission is complimentary.

We believe in the dignity of every human person from the moment of conception to natural death. Our goal is to promote, defend, and pray for all stages of life. Our first initiative is going to be a baby shower coordinated with the Sisters of Life, who support moms in crisis pregnancies.

Now in its fourth decade of operation, the College Fair is just one component of a multi-tiered approach to the comprehensive school counseling program at Iona Preparatory School.     Summer Schedule Begins


    The summer schedule for Iona Preparatory Lower and Upper Schools will run through Friday, Aug. 23. During this time, administrative offices will be on truncated schedules, with hours varying department to department; the best time to reach someone by phone will be between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. As ever, the best way to reach your intended party is via email.

    We hope you will take advantage of one of our five on-campus Sports Clinics over the next few months. Until then, please know you are in our prayers for a relaxing and rejuvenating summer!
